NZSBA engaging with a Maori cultural consultant

We utilized the IIBA Project Fund 2023 to collaborate with a Maori cultural consultant, ensuring that our trainees and trainers receive essential cultural guidance and oversight. This initiative aligns with our commitment to fostering culturally sensitive practices within our Bioenergetics community and upholding our responsibilities as a psychotherapy training provider in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

The grant supported the training costs for a local Maori psychotherapist, supervisor, and consultant who conducted a weekend workshop for our program. This workshop enriched both our trainees and training team by offering invaluable insights into Maori perspectives on mental health and psychological healing. Furthermore, this collaboration deepened our society's rapport with her and solidified her continued involvement with our training initiatives.
